GREENCO INC.,
General Contractor and Project Management began in 1951 as Al Green and
Son Construction. In 1969 Don Green began his own business, Don Green
Construction, a small contracting firm. Don had begun in the construction
trade working with his father, Alfred Green. By facing new challenges with
enthusiasm, Don Green Construction prospered to become a leading
competitor in all areas of the construction industry. In 1981, Don, his
wife, Sammie Lou, and his son, Dan became partners and formed GREENCO
INC., General Contractor. In 1991, Dan, and his wife, Denise Wilson Green,
became the owners of GREENCO INC., General Contractor. Dan and Denise are
continuing a three-generation tradition of quality construction and
customer satisfaction.
GREENCO INC., General Contractor & Project Management is a complete
building service with experience in residential, commercial, industrial
and institutional building and remodeling. GREENCO INC., General
Contractor & Project Management is well known for its historic restoration
and preservation. We have won awards for the historic preservation of the
Galena Central School which became Galena Green Condominiums. Some of our
commercial projects in Galena IL include the Jo Daviess County Health
Department, John Westwick Foundry, Galena Stauss Nursing Wing Addition,
Alice T. Virtue Memorial Pool, Benjamin's Restaurant, Poopsies, Clingman
Pharmacy, Stockton Banking Center in Stockton Illinois, and Hanlers Unique
Shops in Shullsburg, Wisconsin. Residential and Ag related construction
along with steel structures continue to be a mainstay of our building
